Holding the third High Council Meeting of the Developing 8 Technology Transfer and Exchange Network

According to public relations department of Pardis Technology Park, the D-8 member state ambassadors attended this two-day program, in addition to the representatives of the D-8 member states includes Bangladesh, Egypt, Iran, Malaysia and Turkey.

It is worth noting that review of the D-8 technology working group fourth meeting's negotiation and decisions draft which will be held in Spring 2016 in Turkey, is the other agenda of this meeting.

According to this report, to be in line with this meeting, the regulations of D-8 TTEN technology transfer award will be approved. The member states could present their candidate until New Year. Meanwhile, the new structure of network portal will be discussed and the general plans will be approved.

According to public relations department of Pardis Technology Park, this meeting was held from 1st to 2nd of December 2015 in Kuala Lumpur. The D-8 Secretary-General, the D-8 TTEN Secretariat, representatives from 5 member states, representatives of India and Australia as the supervisor, representatives of the member states embassies and managers and directors of the ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation of Malaysia attended the program.

In the opening session of this two-day meeting Dr. Seyed Ali Muhammad Mousavi, the D-8 Secretary-General, engineer Akbar Ghanbarpour, the representative of the network secretariat, and Dr. Muhammadnour, Secretary-General of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation of Malaysia gave speech.

In the following of the meeting, the network secretariat described the proceedings of the past year and conceptual design of the new portal and drew up the next year programs and events, by presenting a report. Also, the representatives of Bangladesh, Egypt, Iran, Malaysia and Turkey presented their proceedings which are in line with the network missions and aims.

Egypt, Iran and Malaysia's 2016 program approval, holding a training course on technology transfer for the member states in Iran, participating the countries in the 5thInternational Innovation and Technology Exhibition (INOTEX) which will be held in June 2016 in Tehran, and utilization of the new portal of the network until mid-2016 including the decisions of the meeting.

It is worth to be pointed out that the Technology Transfer and Exchange Network between 8 Islamic developing countries (D-8 TTEN) was approved in the ministerial meeting on industry held in Bangladesh, in October 2012 and Islamic Republic of Iran was chosen as the Network secretariat. It is noteworthy that the first High Council Meeting in Tehran, the second in Abuja, Nigeria and the third in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia was held respectively in 2013, 2014 and 2015.
